YouTube Playlist Sorter
Reorder any YouTube playlist by views, likes, upload date, length or title, then play it in that order. Your original playlist stays as it is.
Ways to sort
- Most viewed / most liked: start with what everyone else watched.
- Newest or oldest first: by upload date, useful for channels that publish series out of order.
- Longest or shortest first: fit a session to the time you have.
- Title A–Z: for numbered lectures and episodes added out of sequence.
Where the numbers come from
Views, likes, durations and upload dates are read live from YouTube's official Data API when you load the playlist. Videos that are deleted or private are left out of the sorted order.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can YouTube sort a playlist by views?
Only for playlists you own, and only from the playlist's own sort menu (date added, date published, popular). For any other playlist, this tool sorts by views, likes, upload date, length or title and lets you play that order.
Does sorting change the original playlist?
No. The original playlist on YouTube is untouched. The sorted order plays as a temporary queue, and you can copy the links in the new order.
Why are there several Open on YouTube buttons?
YouTube's temporary queue plays up to 50 videos, so longer playlists open in parts of 50 in the sorted order.
What happens to ties?
Videos with equal values keep their original playlist order, so sorting is predictable and repeatable.
